Megaton Records 1985
I've said it before, and I'm sayin' it again, the Dutch new some shit about Metal back in the day, and you need look no further than MARTYR for the proof. Like countrymen EXISES, MARTYR deliver complex Metal with lots of disjointed time and tempo changes yet they retain a driving aggressive feel throughout. MAIDEN definitely comes to mind with all the gallopy triplet riffs and prominent bass playing, as do Euro Metal obscurios OSTROGOTH and SORTILEGE. This is a very good, and altogether too brief, record.

Message from Mediafire: "There are no severs currently available with the requested data on them. Please try your request later" Does this mean the servers are down, or that the upload somehow got botched up by Mediafire when you sent it up?
Strange... never seen that one before. Re-upping now.
Huh!? Still doing it after re-upping. I'll have to try again tomorrow.
I think Mediafire has fallen victim to the dreaded "EPIC FAIL" usually reserved for forums, social networking, and online gaming. (Not that I would know anything about those.)
Third time's the charm. Seems to be working now.
Downloaded. All is well in MediaFireLand.. :)
Hi there!
Hmm thanks Alcolm X saying about the Dutch Metal scene. Yep Holland was bustling with talent and great bands. But the audience wasn't listening. There more great bands from Holland then the ones you mentioned. Vulture, Proud Existence, Jewel, Mysto Dysto,Dark Wizard and many more.
Keep the good work up and I love your comments on albums
ooh Btw I am Dutch :)
Oooh Damn. Call me a dimwit or what but by talking about Dutch bands I forgot to say that this album was re-released with 8 tracks of their demo's. If you want it, I have it for you.
Belated news. The band is active again and released an EP called 'Fear' and also a special edition of the EP called 'Fear The Universe' with a second disc containing the first LP re-recorded by the 2009 line-up.
I'd like to make a request, but because there is no email or correspondence outside of posting, I'll put it here. If you have either or both of the Acid Storm LPs (Why Dirty War and/or Biotronic Genesis), I would really love a rip of those, since all I've found are vinyl rips in crappy 128kbps mp3...
Hey ZC. Sorry but I don't have any ACID STORM... never heard of 'em honestly. I'll have to look into 'em though.
Acid Storm was Brazilian Tech-Thrash from the late 80's put out on Cogumelo records (same label as early Sepultura and Overdose). The first album (Why.. Dirty War) is sorta an EP, even though it was a 12", and was more strait-forward. The second one (Biotronic Genesis) is more Technical, and exists somewhere in-between Target and Mekong Delta, but with a Sci-Fi lyrical bent. You can find some 128kbps rips on STRAPPADO'S blog, but you won't find anything without a lossy sound outside of the LPs. It's good stuff dude.
Hmm I have tried to find for you, all I got was a 192 kbps version.
Thanks Lord Bones, but I found a 192 of the second Acid Storm LP, but if you listen closely, it sounds like a 128 rip that somebody tried up-converting. The request was just a random thing anyway, just to see if Alcom X had it. I'm perfectly fine with what I got until somebody ups something in better quality, or puts out a CD, because I'd be willing to buy it if that happened. In any case, for anybody who hasn't heard these two Acid Storm platters, it's highly recommended. It isn't revolutionary material by any measure, but it will stick with ya after a few listens, which is worthwhile to me.

you could get a label like Stormspell to put it on cd, they love obscure oldschool metal bands
What a band.....and still active released a new and heavy album on Metal Blade called Circle Of 8
This is a badass blog! Thanks for introducing me to Martyr (NL), Exciter, and Witchkiller. I'm just getting started reading about other bands, so I'm sure I will find many more. Cheers! \m/
